Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

Anvon is run by Axrie Ltd. This policy covers sellers who run a store on Anvon and shoppers who visit or buy from those stores. We collect what we need to run the stores, and we don’t sell personal data.

1. Who is responsible

For sellers’ data, Axrie Ltd is the data controller. For shoppers, each store and Anvon both use your details to complete your order; the store is the business you’re buying from. Questions go to [privacy contact email].

2. What we collect from sellers

  • Account details: name, email, phone, store name, and business details you give us.
  • Your store: logo, product photos, descriptions, prices, stock and settings.
  • Payout details, which our payment partners hold to settle your money.
  • How you use your dashboard, through product analytics (PostHog), so we can improve it.

3. What we collect from shoppers

  • Order details: what you bought, your delivery address, name, phone and email.
  • An account, if you create one, with saved addresses and saved items.
  • How you move through a store (products viewed, carts, checkout steps) so the store can understand what buyers want. This is counted, not used to build an advertising profile.
  • Your answers if you reply to a store’s one-tap question. Answering is optional.
  • Your phone number for a “tell me when it’s back” alert, only if you tick the box allowing the store to message you once. It’s used for nothing else.
  • Reviews you choose to leave, shown with your first name and last initial.

Card and bank details are entered with our payment partners, not with Anvon, and we never see your full card number.

4. Why we use it

  • To run stores, take payments, deliver orders and send order updates (our contract with you).
  • To prevent fraud and keep the service secure (our legitimate interest).
  • To help stores improve, using their own shoppers’ activity (our legitimate interest).
  • For optional things like back-in-stock messages, only with your consent, which you can withdraw.
  • To meet our legal duties, such as tax and financial records.

5. Who we share it with

  • The store you buy from, so it can fulfil your order.
  • Payment partners (such as Paystack) to take and settle payments.
  • AI providers that process product photos and store content to write listings and suggestions.
  • Hosting, storage and analytics providers that run the service for us under contract.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards the NDPA requires.

6. Children

Sellers must be 18 or over. Stores on Anvon are not aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian’s consent. If you think we have, tell us and we’ll delete it.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account and store data while your account is open. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and financial laws require. Shopper activity is kept in counted form; individual events are removed once they are no longer needed.

8. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, move it, or object to how we use it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to [privacy contact email]. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We answer requests within 30 days.

9. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to keep your cart. Seller dashboards use product analytics. We don’t use advertising cookies.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and each store’s data is kept apart from every other store’s. If a breach puts your data at risk, we’ll notify the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within 72 hours and tell affected people without undue delay, as the NDPA requires.

11. Changes

We’ll post any change here and update the date above. Questions? See our contact page.
